What is Enabled Voice Mail (EVM)?
EVM is an application that works with our existing voice mail infrastructure providing an additional method of notification and/or delivery of voice mails. Utilizing our existing Octel Access gateway server, EVM enables the use of email as a way to receive notifications, or the delivery to your inbox, of voice mails once they have been received in your existing voice mailbox. As this is strictly a server-side application, there is no client software to install, and in most cases does not require any configuration on the client machine.
The EVM application provides the following functionality:
evmNotify – This will send a notification to up to 3 email addresses when you have new voice mail messages on the Octel messaging server. You can choose to be notified for every message that appears in your mailbox, for the first new message only, or for disable notification completely.
evmDelivery/Voice – This will send voice mail messages as an attached .wav file to up to 3 email addresses when you have new voice mail messages on the Octel messaging server. You can choose to send urgent messages only, all messages or no messages.
